Susy C. Henriques, PFP Branch Manager at Scotiabank Susy was born in Toronto, lived in Portugal until she was 16 and returned to Toronto to forge a new life alongside her older sister Elizabeth. Determined to make a career in Canada she was working two part-time jobs simultaneously when she started a third at Scotiabank. From then to now, Susy has worked for Scotiabank for 25 years. In this time she has held different positions moving up over the years from part-time Teller, Ledger Officer, Personal Banking Officer, Senior Personal Banking Officer, Financial advisor, Manager Personal Banking to recently becoming the Manager of the Eglinton and Caledonia branch. With her financial planning background, Susy has been advising customers and their families with their investments and borrowing needs. She has been attending events hosted by the Federation of Portuguese Business and Professionals (FPCBP) for many years and joined as a board member in 2013. Susy believes in giving back to the community. She has been involved in raising funds for several charitable organizations such as United Way, Reach for the Rainbow, Baycrest, and local charities within the neighbourhood. She also ran with Rosa Mota, the Portuguese Olympian who was her idol and considered the greatest female marathon runner of all times, to raise funds for Doctors Hospital. Susy lives in Toronto with her husband and her two daughters, both of which she encourages to also be active and give back to the community. On her spare time, she loves to play tennis, go for a bike ride and spend time travelling with her family.
