Dear FPCBP Member, Partner & Sponsor
On September 18, 2025, the FPCBP held its Annual General Meeting. At this AGM, we reviewed the Federation’s performance, approved the accounts for the previous financial year, and elected the governing bodies for the year 2025-2026. In this context, I had the honour and privilege of being nominated and elected as President of the Board. A Board comprised of individuals of high personal and professional values, who greatly dignify the Federation, its members, and the Portuguese-Canadian community.
It is in this capacity that I address you.
Firstly, on behalf of the Board I represent, I would like to extend our warmest regards. I hope that we will soon have the opportunity to greet you in person.
Secondly, I want to reiterate the Federation’s continued commitment, to respect and promote the friendship, collaboration, mutual support, and partnership; one that has existed between the FPCBP and its members, partners, and sponsors for 44 years. The FPCBP has a long-standing history and tradition in our community. A history that honours our mission, roots, and legacy that we will uphold, while working to inspire the future of the Portuguese-Canadian community.
I wish to reaffirm the purpose of the Board I chair to strengthen the bonds between the Federation, its members, partners, and sponsors so that, together, we can develop new initiatives and projects that foster unity, dignity, and progress within the Portuguese-Canadian community, guided by the traditional values and principles that define us.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all past Presidents, Board Directors and Members, as well as the Members, Partners, and Sponsors who have supported the Federation since its foundation. Each has contributed to the legacy entrusted to the current Board. It is now our responsibility to honour that legacy and strengthen it for future generations.
We have a renewed vision and strength. We will improve what we already do well and work on new ideas and projects, and for that, we count on your support.
